Our mission
Insurance is one of the most important financial decisions most people ever make — and yet most people sign documents they don’t understand, with clauses they’ve never read, from companies they’ve never verified. Byinsured exists to change that.
We believe that informed policyholders make better decisions. When you understand what “exclusion for pre-existing conditions not disclosed at inception” actually means, you disclose your conditions. When you know the difference between a cashless and a reimbursement claim, you pick the hospital that matters. Knowledge protects you. Jargon doesn’t.
What we are
Byinsured is an editorial publication. We research, write, and fact-check insurance content for a general audience. Our writers are editors, not licensed agents. We are not authorised to sell or recommend any insurance product. We have no relationships with insurers, brokers, or comparison platforms.
What we are not
- We are not a comparison site. We don’t direct you to buy specific products.
- We are not an affiliate. We earn no commission if you buy a policy after reading our content.
- We are not sponsored. Insurers cannot pay to appear in our editorial content.
- We are not a broker. Nothing we publish constitutes financial advice.
How we make money
Display advertising — the small banner ads you see on our pages. That’s it. The ads are served by a third-party ad network (Google AdSense) and rotate based on your browsing context, not on which insurer paid us most. We have no ad-editorial firewall to maintain because advertisers have no access to our editorial process.
Corrections policy
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct the article in place, add a dated correction note at the top, and — where the error was material — post a summary of what changed and why. We do not silently delete incorrect articles. The record stays, the correction is visible, and readers can judge us by how we handle mistakes, not just how we handle success.
